Sunday School

Sunday School at Bethel Fellowship is more than Sunday School as usual. The leadership of the church chose the current curriculum, Children Desiring God, for Sunday School because it went beyond Sunday morning. They wanted to come along side and equip parents to continue the biblical foundation being laid in their child’s life. Information is sent home from the Sunday School classes every week with the opportunity for discussion of the topic studied, as well as scripture verses for the students to work on.

Our preschool through 1st grade children use their hearts of faith with the powerful stories of our great God of the Old Testament, and the testimony of the character and acts of Jesus in the New Testament.

Our 2nd and 3rd graders use the alphabet as a framework for learning about the attributes of God. This study explores the delight that God has in Himself as the source, means, and purpose of all things. Each lesson asks and answers three key questions: “Who is God?” “What is He like?” and “How should I act toward Him?” as it presents a theology of God for children.

Our 4th through 6th graders learn that the names of God are wonderful revelations of His majestic character. This study presents the Hebrew names of God in the Old Testament and the names of Christ and the Holy Spirit in the New Testament.

Our teenagers (7-12 grade) are taught to focus on their inward heart attitude. They are challenged to ask themselves whether or not their lives are truly submitted to Christ and His ways.
